A month after my first editorial photoshoot in NYC, the client contacted me for another cover story shoot. This time, featuring Brian Kingston – CEO of Brookefield’s Real Estate business; and Nailah Flake – Managing Partner for Brookefield’s Credit Group.
The client sent me a mood board showing the different angles and poses they needed for their publication. A mood board always helps because it takes away the guesswork on my side, and I can focus on the subject’s facial expressions and lights in the given specified poses. Overall, a mood board makes the whole shoot more efficient.
Both Brian and Nailah were absolute champs during the shoot. I arrived an hour early for a quick recce, setup, and test shots. On shoot time, they came in prepared – looking sharp, ready to go, and having fun in the process. That’s always a good recipe for a successful shoot.
Huge thanks to Denise and Lee for having me again for this shoot, and to Brian and Nailah for the positive energy!
